The rise of the Slovak Agricultural Library (SlPK) in Nitra is closely connected with the
establishment of the University of Agricultural and Forestry Engineering (VSPLI) in Kosice in 1946. In 1951, it
was termed the Central Agricultural Library, becoming the first central special library in the Slovak Republic.
Library has been the central library of the Slovak Agricultural University in Nitra since 1960. Nowadays it fulfils two
primary functions - it is special scientific library and university library.
All the Library documents are at the registered users disposal, but there are some restrictions concerned to periodicals,
diploma theses, dissertations, etc. These documents can be studied at the studying rooms only. There are two studying rooms
in the Library the main studying room in the Library building at tϊrova Street and the smaller one in the University Campus at
Trieda A. Hlinku Street.

to keep your loans longer than the due date, you can renew them through own account, too.
