Súhrn/Summary: Bacteria as the simplest living organisms on Earth already existed billions of years before us. Their presence is known in all possible locations. At the same time, they are responsible for numerous infectious diseases. In the course of history the worlds of man and bacteria have affected each other and there has constantly been a fight between them. At present it seems that thanks to the discovery of antibiotics man is partway the winner. However, the threat is still there. As consequence of mass usage of antibiotics, mankind faces the problem of growing resistance to bacteria The main aim of the scientific monograph were antibiotic resistance testing of the Enterobacteriaceae and Lactobacillaceae family. For the isolation of bacteria we used the samples of dairy products. In most cases we managed to isolate Lactobacillus paracasei, Lactobacillus rhamnosus, Serratia liquefaciens, Citrobacter braakii, in two cases Escherichia coli and Klebsiella oxytoca, but also types such as Pseudomonas aeruginosa, Acinetobacter baumanii or Enterococcus faecalis which belong to a different family. The lowest number of coliform bacteria was in the Petri dishes in yoghurt from local breeding and Leerdammer cheese in the autumn and also in yoghurt Sabi in the summer. On the contrary, the highest number of coliform bacteria was in the cheese from local breeding in the autumn. The lowest number of lactobacilli was detected in yoghurt of local breeding in the autumn, as well as in yoghurt Sabi in the summer. The highest number of lactobacilli was in Banovecky yoghurt in the spring. For the types from the Enterobacteriaceae family we used fluorochinolon antibiotics such as ofloxacin, norphloxacine and ciprophloxacine, antibiotics amicacine and gentamicine belonging to the category of aminoglycosides, tetracycline from the category of tetracyclines and chloramphenicol classified among phenicols. We also tested the resistance to ampiciline from the class of penicilines, carbapenem antibiotic imipenem and acid nalixid from the category of quinolones. Apart from these bacteria we also tested bacteria from other families for the resistance to doripenem and vancomycine. With Lactobacillaceae family we worked with two types of antibiotics namely vancomycine from the category glycosides and gentarnicine. To test the antibiotic resistance we used disc diffusion method and E-testing. We evaluated the gained data according to the schemes from EUCAST.
