Abstract: The main topics of international scientific symposium “Sustainable, resilient and fair food systems in the EU and globally,” were related to sustainability issues in agriculture, food marketing, distribution systems and production systems both at national level as well as at local regional level. The sustainable food systems are one of the flagship initiatives of the Farm to Fork Strategy, which will be adopted by the Commission by the end of 2023. The main objective is to promote sustainability issues in all food-related policies and foster its resilience at EU level and national level. The symposium provided platform for presentation of research papers of experts coming from Slovakia and other European countries, with special attention devoted to young scientists.
